Hardware Conflicts (continued):

In many cases, these conflicts can be “solved” by changing a setting in a control panel.  Unfortunately, this solution will sometimes limit other uses of the machine (such as causing a Quadra to run slow, or limiting the amount of RAM that can be used).

In some cases, an upgrade may be available at low cost that will fix or replace the trouble making piece of hardware.  In the case of a program that is incompatible with the existing hardware, often there is an upgrade to the software that will solve the problem.
